Max July 2023 Releases

0

Max’s July 2023 schedule is filled with exciting releases, from dramas to documentaries. Here are some titles that we think you’ll enjoy.

“Full Circle” (July 14)

Director Steven Soderbergh and writer Ed Solomon team up for a limited-series drama about a botched kidnapping that exposes the long-held secrets of several characters. With an impressive cast including Zazie Beetz, Claire Danes, Jim Gaffigan, Timothy Olyphant, CCH Pounder and Dennis Quaid, this show is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

“How to With John Wilson” (July 28)

Returning for its third and final season, this observational docuseries follows John Wilson’s journey of self-discovery through curiosity and absurdity. It’s hard to describe just how unique and entertaining this show is – you’ll just have to watch it for yourself.

“Harley Quinn” (July 27)

Back for its fourth season, the adult animated series “Harley Quinn” follows the villainous Harley and her girlfriend Ivy as they navigate their relationship while Batgirl takes on a larger role in Gotham. It’s a raunchy, irreverent series that many fans can’t get enough of.

In addition to these titles, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming service boasts several other exciting releases this month. Check out Issa Rae, Kumail Nanjiani and Gina Prince-Bythewood as mentors in the filmmaking docuseries “Project Greenlight” (July 13), Jessica Francis Dukes, Mia Isaac, and Garret Dillahunt in the sci-fi thriller series “Gray Matter” (July 13), and the concert special “Brandi Carlile: In the Canyon Haze – Live From Laurel Canyon” (July 1). Plus, Discovery’s annual “Shark Week” begins on July 23 with even more shark-related programming to be announced.

Be sure to check out these shows as well as other July releases on Max. (Release dates are subject to change and Max warns that more titles could be removed.)

You Only Live Twice (1967)

In 1967, the movie “You Only Live Twice” was released. This James Bond film starred Sean Connery as Agent 007 and followed his mission to stop a global war between the United States and the Soviet Union. The film was directed by Lewis Gilbert and written by Roald Dahl, based on Ian Fleming’s novel of the same name.

The movie was a hit at the box office and praised for its action-packed scenes, exotic locations, and iconic theme song sung by Nancy Sinatra. “You Only Live Twice” is also notable for introducing the character of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, one of Bond’s primary antagonists in future films.

Overall, “You Only Live Twice” is a must-watch for both James Bond fans and action movie enthusiasts. Its influence can still be seen in modern-day films, and its impact on the spy genre is undeniable.
