Morgan Stanley, a leading financial institution, has recently announced the promotion of Jed Finn to the position of Head of Wealth Management. This appointment follows a period of leadership succession within the company. Finn, who is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Corporate and Institutional Solutions at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, will officially assume his new role starting in January.
In an internal memo sent to employees on Monday, Morgan Stanley Co-President Andy Saperstein expressed his confidence in Finn’s capabilities, stating that the appointment is a natural progression in Finn’s outstanding career. Saperstein also highlighted Finn’s extensive knowledge of the company’s wealth management businesses.
As the Head of Wealth Management, Finn will report directly to Saperstein, who himself was a potential candidate for the CEO position following the departure of James Gorman. This promotion reinforces Morgan Stanley’s commitment to strengthening its wealth management operations.
Furthermore, Morgan Stanley has made additional changes to its leadership team by appointing Jacques Chappuis and Ben Huneke as co-heads of investment management. Chappuis, currently serving as the Global Head of Distribution and co-head of the Solutions and Multi-Asset Group within the investment management division, will bring his expertise to this new role. Huneke, who currently heads the Investment Solutions Group in wealth management, will also take on this joint responsibility.
These promotions reflect Morgan Stanley’s dedication to enhancing its leadership structure. Earlier this year, CEO James Gorman announced his plan to step down, leading to a thorough evaluation process for his successor. Ultimately, Ted Pick was selected by the board of directors to fill the role of CEO, while Andy Saperstein was chosen as the Head of Wealth and Investment Management.
Morgan Stanley remains committed to providing exceptional wealth management services and continues to evolve its leadership to achieve this goal. For more information, please visit their official website.
