European Markets
In morning trading, the Stoxx Europe 600 showed a 0.1% increase. Notable gainers included Etablissementen Franz Col, rising by 11.2%, and Deliveroo, adding 9.7%. On the other hand, ams-OSRAM plummeted by 17.6%, and alstria office REIT experienced an 8.5% loss. The FTSE 100 remained unchanged. France’s CAC 40 saw a 0.3% increase, while Germany’s DAX rose by 0.1%.
Currency
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index saw a slight drop of 0.1%, settling at 100.47.
Commodity Market
Brent crude oil observed a 0.5% increase, reaching $94.85 per barrel, while WTI crude rose by 0.7% to $94.31 per barrel.
Bond Yields
The yield on the German 10-year Bund climbed by 2 basis points to 2.862%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury declined by 1 basis point to 4.61%. Remember that bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
Asian Stock Performance
Stocks in Asia exhibited a mixed performance with Japan’s Nikkei 225 index declining by 1.5%. Similarly, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell by 1.4%. On the other hand, China’s benchmark Shanghai Composite saw a slight gain of 0.1%.
