Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced on Friday that Marie Myers has been appointed as their new Chief Financial Officer. Myers previously held the same role at HP Inc.
The Split of Hewlett Packard
In 2015, the original Hewlett Packard company split into two separate entities. HP Inc. focuses on manufacturing PCs and printers, while HP Enterprise specializes in selling servers, networking hardware, and supercomputers, among other products.
Leadership Transitions
Myers takes over the CFO position from Jeremy Cox, who had been serving as interim CFO since August. Cox assumed the role after former CFO Tarek Robbiati left HP Enterprise to become CEO at RingCentral, a cloud-based telephony provider. However, earlier this month, Robbiati stepped down from his position at RingCentral, and the company’s founder, Vlad Shmunis, returned as CEO.
Cox will return to his previous role at HP Enterprise as corporate controller and chief tax officer.
In the meantime, HP Inc. has named Timothy Brown as their interim CFO. Brown has been the CFO for the company’s print business and has been with HP since 1993.
Stock Performance
Following the announcement, both HP stocks experienced a 1.4% decline on Friday.
